HIRING – Wash/Pack Crew

FEB 23, 2026

Work outdoors!

If you’re interested in the Wash/Pack Crew position, please email your resumé and a little bit about why you’d be a good fit to hello@jordansfarm.com.

Jordan’s Farm is a fifth-generation farm located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. We are a conventional farm growing approximately 60 acres of mixed vegetables each season. Our primary market is our onsite farm stand. In addition, we sell wholesale and continually seek ways to expand our markets. This season, we are expanding our pick-your-own strawberry operation.  We strive to reduce food loss on our farm by working with organizations to end hunger in Maine.

The Wash/Pack Crew positions are full-time seasonal positions running from early April through the end of October/beginning of November.  Hours and days scheduled may vary depending on the season, weather, and to accommodate large harvests. Employees should be prepared to be flexible as the farm work demands and may be asked to help wherever needed: with field work such as harvesting and weeding, retail packing or customer service in our farm stand. Strawberry season may necessitate a shift in schedule.

The Wash/Pack Crew is responsible for sorting, washing, prepping, grading, and packing daily harvests as well as integrating produce delivered from other farms. Employees in this position must work well in a fast-paced, team-based environment and have a knack for organization. Wash/pack tasks ebb and flow throughout the season as we harvest a variety of seasonal crops, which allows for diversity in the daily work. Our wash/pack operation consists of sinks and dunk tanks, as well as mechanical washing equipment. Employees should be prepared to spend hours working on their feet, alone and as part of a team and be able to work in cold conditions occasionally when necessary. The Wash/Pack Crew will work under the direction of the Wash/Pack Lead and the Operations Manager. They will be trained and expected to work in compliance with our Food Safety Plan by working to keep our wash/pack stations sanitary, clean, tidy and organized at all times. Wash/Pack employees will need to be comfortable with basic math and counting as they will help with daily record-keeping and inventories.
